This notice explains what HeatRoute does with personal information. It is a plain-English working draft and should be checked by a qualified adviser before wider public launch.
What we collect
Customers: name, email address, telephone number, postcode, property type and the details of the job you ask us about. Engineers: business and contact details, service areas, qualifications and registration evidence you upload for verification.
Why we use it
To create your job reference, match your request with suitable approved engineers, keep you updated, verify engineer registrations, raise invoices and record payments.
Who can see it
Your contact details are not published. An engineer sees a job summary first; your name, phone number and email are only released once the job is accepted and HeatRoute releases them. Other customers and other engineers cannot see your records.
How long we keep it
Job and invoice records are kept while your account is active and afterwards for as long as we need them for accounting, safety and legal reasons.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to close your account and delete information we no longer need. Contact HeatRoute using the details on the site and we will respond.
Cookies and similar technology
HeatRoute uses only the storage needed to keep you signed in and to run the site. We do not use advertising tracking.
Legal review required: this notice has not been checked by a solicitor or data-protection adviser, and HeatRoute should not be described as certified or fully UK GDPR compliant until that review has taken place. Terms and conditions
